Nearly twenty years after the initial construction, the only one getting any enjoyment out of this 10 x 14 deck was a civilization of mosquitoes. The homeowners wanted to take back their yard and create an outdoor space that they could enjoy.
County zoning setbacks limited the size of the structure that we could build, but we used every available inch to create an 11 x 20 wraparound screened room with an adjacent 8 x 10 deck for grilling. Skylights were added to offset the removal of a large window within an open, vaulted rear portion of their living space. The homeowners are finally able to enjoy their yard from the comfort of their new screened porch!
