This customer wanted to create an outdoor space in the rear of their home where they could spend time with the whole family. They wanted screening to protect against the bugs and a fireplace to unwind at the end of the day. We maximized the buildable space allowed by the county to create a shallow but long screened porch. The room was designed with solid, lower kneewalls around the perimeter for just the right amount of privacy. An open ceiling with exposed rafters made the ceiling appear higher than it actually was, giving the illusion of more space. To top it off, a large brick fireplace was added into the center of the space to create a warm and inviting area for years to come.
